Boies Schiller Entertainment is a Los Angeles-based production company co-founded in 2012 by Zack Schiller and noted attorney David Boies. The company creates and finances commercial film and television content across a broad array of genres and platforms. Through its long-standing relationships in the creative community, BSE nurtures and transforms ideas into successful and enduring entertainment properties.

  • David Boies

    Chairman & Managing Partner, Boies Schiller Entertainment

    David has been the Chairman and a Managing Partner of Boies Schiller Flexner since its founding in 1997. In 1998-2000, he served as Special Trial Counsel for the United States Department of Justice in its antitrust suit against Microsoft. David also served as the lead counsel for former Vice-President Al Gore in connection with litigation relating to the 2000 election Florida vote count. As co-lead counsel for the plaintiffs in Perry v. Brown, he won the first judgment establishing the right to marry for gay and lesbian citizens under the U.S. Constitution. David has been selected as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time Magazine (2010). David attended the University of Redlands (1960-62), and received a B.S. from Northwestern University (1964), an LL.B., magna cum laude from Yale University (1966), and an LL.M. from New York University (1967).

    President, Boies Schiller Entertainment

    Zack Schiller is president of Boies Schiller Entertainment (BSE), the Los Angeles-based film and television company he co-founded with noted attorney David Boies in 2012.

    Films co-financed and produced by BSE include The Babysitter, directed by McG; Escape Plan, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone; Jane Got a Gun starring Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Ewan McGregor; Escape Plan 2: Hades, starring Sylvester Stallone and 50 Cent; and The Upside, directed by Neil Burger and starring Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman. The company is currently co-producing its first television series, the espionage thriller “Quantum Spy,” for NBC, based on the novel by bestselling author and prize-winning journalist David Ignatius.

    Prior to starting BSE, Schiller spent 15 years working in every aspect of feature filmmaking, including creative development, physical production and deal-making. In 2011, he financed and produced the film Son of Morning, starring Heather Graham and Bob Odenkirk. Previously he worked for Adam Sandler at his Happy Madison production company, where he was actively engaged in the behind-the-scenes development and production of Anger Management, Mr. Deeds, Big Daddy, Eight Crazy Nights, and Grandma’s Boy. He began his entertainment career working for Garry Shandling on the film What Planet Are You From? and for Doug Belgrad, president of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Columbia Pictures.

    Schiller earned his BA from Columbia University.

    Senior Vice President, Boies Schiller Entertainment

    Devin Andre is senior vice president of Boies Schiller Entertainment (BSE) where he oversees development of film and television content, identifying and acquiring new intellectual property and packaging and selling projects. He has served as co-producer of the feature films Countdown, Midnight Sun, Where’s the Money and The Babysitter and executive producer of The Babysitter: Killer Queen and The Hunter’s Prayer as well as the upcoming thriller Lakewood, directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Naomi Watts. He served as development executive on director Neil Burger’s The Upside, starring Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart and Nicole Kidman. He was also integral in acquiring rights to David Ignatius’ espionage novel The Quantum Spy, which Boies Schiller is developing into a series for NBC.

    Prior to joining BSE in 2014, Devin was vice president of production for FilmEngine and a creative executive at Underground Films. He started his entertainment industry career as an assistant at CAA.
